NACA OVERVIEW:
NACA, the Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America (naca.com) is the most exciting and growing organization to be a part of in the country. NACA is a high-profile organization, having its program and advocacy featured in all the national media and a number of international networks. NACA is a national non-profit homeownership HUD certified counseling organization and community advocacy organization. Started in 1988, NACA has a tremendous track record of successful advocacy against predatory and discriminatory lenders. Presently, NACA is the largest and most effective housing services organization in the country and is rapidly expanding by growing its existing 38+ offices, opening many new offices nationwide, and increasing the services it offers its membership. NACA’s confrontational community organizing and unprecedented homeownership programs have set the national standard for assisting low and moderate income people achieve the dream of affordable home ownership.

NACA has established the national standard in its homeownership programs. The NACA programs are structured through a state-of-the-art mortgage web-based paperless counseling, processing and underwriting software called “NACA Lynx”. These include:
  • Home Save - Homeowners with an unaffordable mortgage, NACA has been able to restructure mortgages by permanently reducing the interest rate to five percent and less for thousands of at-risk homeowners;
  • Purchase – Homebuyers who will be owner-occupants, can obtain NACA’s Best in America mortgage through – No down payment, No closing costs, No fees, No requirement for perfect credit and always at a below market fixed interest rate (go to naca.com for the current recent rate). Everyone gets the same incredible terms, including the below-market interest rate, regardless of their credit score or other factors. NACA also provides free comprehensive housing services. NACA has over $10 Billion in mortgage commitments from the country’s largest lenders. Virtually 100% of NACA Qualified Members are approved and funded; Renovations – Homebuyers and Homeowner’s with a property needing repairs, NACA’s Home and Neighborhood Development (“HAND”) Department addresses repair issues and major renovations with assistance throughout the renovation process;
  • Post closing – NACA assists homeowners with unforeseen financial difficulties. NACA’s Membership Assistance Program (“MAP”) provides comprehensive counseling for Members who are delinquent on their home, including establishing payment agreements and providing financial assistance to help Members avoid foreclosure.
  • Advocacy - NACA has revolutionized mortgage lending with its mortgage services and advocacy. NACA continues to fight for affordable homeownership and advocate against predatory lenders and fight for economic justice.
