Participation
Participation is the key to NACA’s incredible success. The active participation of thousands of NACA Members and homeowners has been the foundation of NACA’s success. People have participated in a variety of ways, from helping with administrative tasks to testifying at a NACA Workshop, from attending a NACA press conference to being arrested during a NACA civil disobedience action. We need everyone’s participation in whatever way they feel comfortable.
NACA’s future success and our ability to continue to provide this program over the long term is based on the active participation of NACA members and supporters. Thus all NACA Members are required to adhere to the below participation pledge and engage in five activities in support of NACA’s mission each year. Securing this commitment has never been difficult since most Members want to support the program in whatever way they can, and often do much more then the minimum required activities.
Participation Pledge
I understand that community advocacy is the major reason that NACA can provide America’s Best Homeownership Program including free individualized comprehensive housing services to its Members. I embrace NACA’s mission to revitalize communities, address financial exploitation, promote economic justice, and eliminate predatory and discriminatory lending practices.
I therefore pledge to stand with NACA in pursuit of this mission. I will participate in at least five actions and activities a year, such as neighborhood outreach, rallies, demonstrations and public education during my home buying process and for as long as I have the loan I obtained through NACA.
