National Real Estate Director

NACA seeks to hire an experienced real estate broker to manage and significantly grow NACA’s real estate company and operations within the organization. NACA has an extensive real estate operation ready for immediate expansion.  The real estate department works in coordination with NACA’s mortgage operations, rehab department and other areas.  It provides professional real estate services to NACA’s Member members, along with ongoing education of the NACA program to the real estate community nationwide. NACA’s real estate operations includes administrative staff, local in-house real estate licensees and real estate brokers, located nationwide. In addition, NACA has an extensive referral network of independent real estate salespeople who are referred pre-approved NACA Members (“NACA Qualified”) in need of real estate representation. The real estate department provides ongoing transaction support to local builders and real estate professionals seeking support for active transactions through NACA’s mortgage operations.

 The ideal candidate will have one or more state real estate brokers licenses with experience in managing an extensive sales operation.  S/he will excel at leading and managing a high performing staff to ambitious goals and will be a skilled communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to operate in a high pressure, fast-paced, continually shifting environment. The Real Estate Manager must be capable of building and developing a real estate sales work force of over 200 real estate professionals as independent contractors with a proven record of providing professional real estate services, marketing, networking and outreach abilities.  S/he must also have a personal and professional commitment to social and economic justice, strong work ethic, relentless pursuit of success, and comfort pushing forward in ambiguous and uncertain situations are essential. 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Real Estate Manager will be based in Boston, report to NACA’s CEO, and join NACA’s growing senior leadership team to develop and manage an extensive real estate operation.  This will involve the transition of the real estate department to the national office in Boston.  The Real Estate Department supports all aspects of real estate transactions including NACA Agents, Referral Agents, outside agents working on NACA mortgage transactions, members in real estate transactions, NACA staff and others.  Important job responsibilities include providing NACA Members with real estate agents who provide top level customer services.  In addition, the Real Estate Department must facilitate transactions and have NACA as the go to organization for the real estate community.  While building the department, the Manger will play a hands-on role serving real estate agents and the real estate community.

  • Set strategy in partnership with the CEO, and implement all real estate related projects. Establish systems for managing the real estate department including generating revenue that is effectively accounted for.  Identify opportunities for the real estate department. Work with NACA staff and others to educate the real estate community on the NACA process.  Work within the NACA operations to streamline the real estate and mortgage process. Contact persons, borrowers, companies and others to expanded NACA’s real estate operations.  Balance strategic goals and ad hoc projects.
  • Recruit and lead a highly talented real estate team. Manage real estate staff and agents to ambitious goals. Train and mentor real estate staff members and provide guidance and support.   
  • Support strategy development. Provide thoughtful, proactive leadership. Work with the NACA management team to develop effective and successful real estate initiatives. Organize and assist in advocacy campaigns as necessary.
