NACA to Host Free Homebuyer Workshop in Newark to Help Section 8 Voucher Holders Become Homeowners
Newark, NJ – The Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America (NACA), the nation’s largest HUD-approved nonprofit homeownership and advocacy organization, is bringing its life-changing Homebuyer Workshop to Newark, giving Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher recipients a real shot at homeownership.
In partnership with the Newark Housing Authority, NACA is hosting this free workshop on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025, at The Waterfront, 2 Grafton Ave, Newark, NJ. The event will be offered in two sessions, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. to accommodate as many participants as possible.
This workshop will educate Section 8 voucher holders on how they can turn their rental assistance into mortgage payments and begin building generational wealth. Through NACA’s HOT-PHA (Homeownership Through Public Housing Assistance) Program, participants can use their Housing Choice Voucher to purchase a home with NACA’s Best in America Mortgage which features:
