NACA Achieve the Dream Event Open and Helping Homebuyers as Scheduled

Houston Water Problem not Affecting Huge Affordable Homeownership Event

(Houston, TX) More than 1,000 future homeowners attended the first day of NACA’s Achieve the Dream affordable homeownership event, and many of them left that day ready to start house hunting with pre-approvals for NACA’s Best in America mortgage.

The massive water main break that has affected the entire city will not affect the schedule of the Achieve the Dream event.  Doors will be open at GreenHouse International Church from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm today and each day through Sunday. NACA Regional Director Shawn Cunningham noted, “With area schools and many businesses closed today because of the water main break, many people are getting an unexpected day off from work, which creates a great opportunity to come to the Achieve the Dream event and beat the huge crowds that always show up on weekends”.

Due to the water issue in Houston, NACA’s press conference to kick off its Houston 2020 Achieve the Dream event has been postponed until this Saturday.  The press conference will now happen at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 29th at GreenHouse International Church at 200 W. Greens Road in Houston.

Again, the Achieve the Dream event itself is not being affected by the water issue and is remaining open its normal hours, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm each day.

Additionally, Saturday’s press conference will have two additions to the agenda: It will be hosted by NACA Founder and CEO Bruce Marks, and will also include approximately 25 local religious leaders who will meet that morning with Mr. Marks and Texas House of Representatives candidate Angeanette Thibodeaux (Dist. 139) to discuss the affordable housing crisis and NACA’s commitment to overcoming the barriers that prevent low and moderate income buyers and people of color from achieving homeownership.

NACA, the nation’s largest HUD-certified non-profit organization, is bringing the Nation’s Largest Homeownership Event to Houston to help low and moderate-income families become homeowners.

WHAT:          Thousands are set to attend NACA’s Achieve the Dream event in Houston. NACA is the only organization providing a streamlined, one-stop mortgage operation to eliminate the barriers to homeownership for low to moderate income and minority buyers. The NACA mortgage program features no down payment, no closing costs, no PMI, does not use your credit score and has a below market fixed rate that can be bought down to nearly zero. (3.125%/30-year and 2.625%/15-year as of 2/27/2020) Everyone receives the same incredible terms, and NACA is the only program doing so, according to Forbes Magazine. $15 Billion dollars has been committed to the NACA program by major banks.

This is the 30th of these events nationwide which have seen tens of thousands of buyers attend and many qualify for affordable home ownership in as little as one day. The Achieve the Dream events are a phenomenon that must be seen to be believed.
