(Stamford, CT) On Saturday, February 7º beginning at 9:00 a.m. thousands of homeowners will journey to the Marriott Hotel in Stamford Ct (243 Tresser Blvd) to make their mortgage payment affordable.
NACA’s renowned Save the Dream event now comes to the New York/CT area for three days of intensive counseling providing long-term affordable payments with reduced interest rates. NACA provides the best solutions and everything is Free!
NACA, a non-profit advocacy and HUD certified counseling agency, will deploy its mobile servicing operation which matches hundreds of counselors with thousands of homeowners. Each at-risk homeowner will receive individual counseling to determine a mortgage payment they can afford and a reduced interest rate to as low as 3% locked in for the life of the loan, and sometimes a principal reduction as needed.
The mortgage crisis may be at the center of America’s financial disaster but NACA’s mortgage restructure solution has been the one-bright light for at-risk homeowners. It may sound too good to be true, but NACA has legally binding agreements with the major servicers/lenders including Wells Fargo, Citigroup, Bank of America as well as investors including Fannie Mae who have signed onto the NACA solution because it makes economic sense to keep homeowners in their homes and avoid costly foreclosure expenses. This is the reality for tens of thousands of homeowners.
Ryann O’Keefe, a single mother from West Haven, CT says the program works and she’s living proof. “NACA brought my adjustable interest rate of 9.9% down to 4.25% fixed. I’m saving $1,200 a month.”
This is the second “Save the Dream of Homeownership” event NACA has sponsored. The first event took place in the nation’s capital last summer with over 20,000 homeowners attending. At the time the Washington Post observed in an article titled “Doing the Banks One Better”:
“In the space of 30 to 60 minutes, the well-trained, upbeat counselors managed to win the trust of their new clients, wring promises of a more frugal lifestyle and enter into their computers the relevant financial details. At a push of a button, NACA’s underwriting system declared how much the client could afford in monthly mortgage payments, and automatically requested the mortgage servicing company to modify the loan accordingly. Depending on the service and the loan, the answer might be available in a matter of days or even hours. In about half the cases, the result is likely to be a below-market, fixed-rate loan with hundreds of dollars cut from their monthly payments.” –Steven Pearlstein, July 25, 2008
Set in a huge ballroom, NACA’s mobile servicing operation is an unprecedented operation and must be seen to be believed. It sets the national standard for foreclosure prevention.
