THE PROGRAM
How Home Save Can Help
Unlike a refinance, mortgage modification can change the interest rate or term of your current mortgage. Our advocates will help you negotiate with your lender based on your financial hardship.
As part of the Post-Purchase Program, NACA members can access up to three months of financial assistance to make mortgage payments on time.
Our counselors are here to help you every step of the way. With NACA’s support, you won’t go through the process alone.

Frequently asked questions
No. Any homeowner can apply for a mortgage modification, even if you did not get your mortgage through NACA. To start your HomeSave process you must first become a NACA Member.
A mortgage modification is when the terms of an existing mortgage are changed. This is not a refinance, which replaces a mortgage with a new loan. Modifications can change your loan terms, lower your interest rate, and/or reduce the outstanding principal. NACA has an unprecedented track record of lowering monthly mortgage payments by hundreds and sometimes over a thousand dollars through mortgage modifications.
Members with a NACA mortgage are eligible for post-purchase financial assistance through the Membership Assistance Program (MAP). Contact the Home Save department at (281) 968-6222 to speak with an advocate about financial assistance.
Yes. The NACA Home Save program is free to homeowners.
