During the mortgage crisis, NACA established the national standard in providing same day solutions for over 250,000 homeowners facing foreclosure at our “Save The Dream” events.

NACA’s Save the Dream events achieved what Congress and the Administration refused to do – make mortgages affordable for those at risk of foreclosure and help retain ownership of their homes.

From 2008 to 2015, NACA toured the country – nearly 150 events – and provided a solution to permanently reduce mortgage payments for struggling homeowners by hundreds or thousands of dollars per month, with interest rates reduced by 3% or 2% and sometimes a principal reduction. A significant portion of homeowners received a permanent restructure the same day.

NACA achieved these results through legally binding contracts with all of the major lender/servicers, including Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to make mortgages affordable. And all services provided were free to struggling homeowners.

NACA has shown that permanent modifications are possible when you provide lenders with the proper tools and require them to make mortgages affordable.
